Trip to Alaska

A cruise to see the famous glaciers of Alaska shown above aboard the Ruby Princess from July 20-27, 2019 went up to the State’s capitol to Juneau, then to Skagway, the gateway to the Klondike Gold Rush territory and its rich and colorful history via a delightful recycled narrow gage railway. The White Pass and Klondike line ran through the beautiful Tongass National Forest to the Canadian border and beyond. Next a day was spent exploring Glacier Bay National Park and all its melting glaciers. It rained the next day in the scenic fishing port of Ketchikan, but was clear and sunny by the time we arrived the next day to tour beautiful Vancouver in Canada’s British Columbia province.
