Po Lin Monastery & Big Buddha Visited

While attending the annual IBSA conference in Hong Kong, Sangha members visited the spectacular Big (Tian Tan) Buddha located at the Po Lin Monastery atop a mountain on Lantau Island next to the village of Ngong Ping. The majestic figure of the once tallest, outdoor, seated Buddha unveiled in December 1993 was cast in bronze in China.
