The work continues. The Buddha Halls are basically done except for painting and installing the floor, although the new windows and front door still need to be added. They have been ordered and should be here in a couple of weeks. It was decided to replace the entire façade of the building with stucco to match the rest of the temple. The electrician has been busy bringing the existing wiring up to code and installing the changes for the temple. Cabinets have been added to the kitchen on the new wall separating the temple from the kitchen and dining area. The soundproofing and fire walls are so effective that it is impossible to use cell phones in the kitchen now. The community room and bedrooms are a mess. The entire wall that was added when the old garage was converted to living space had to be removed and rebuilt. The walls have been reconstructed and are almost ready for painting, but it is still a construction zone. I don’t think they will do any stucco work until the two new ADA bathrooms are ready. We hope to start that next week.
