The blessings of this holy site are not just for human beings. Various light forms and beings from other realms including ghosts and spirits are seen and photographed at this site. When the yurt was finished and furbished as the Protector Chapel, students saw a pillar of pink neon light enter the skylight of the yurt from high in the heavens on the viewfinder of a camera. This same beam of bright light was seen by several others and sometimes around the vajra poles. Ghost-like lights often appear, as do other light forms as seen here. Beings from the animal realm also come including swarms of bees and a large goose with a mohawk and an attitude named “Dharma Duck” who wanted to come in whenever we listened to Dharma discourses by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. He would fly against the windows and peck on the front door until we opened the door enough so that he could hear. Dharma Duck is shown on the previous page receiving a holy Vajra-Bodhi Pill and its special blessings. The neighbors horses and cattle were also visitors. Captive and abandoned animals are given homes and cared for. H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III has told us to set aside October 29 of every year to formally release captive living beings. Abandoned and homeless cats have found the temple as a place of refuge. Shiimsa on the left was the first. Sylvia on the right came in very bad shape and pregnant. Opossums, skunks, foxes, coyotes, and even a stray mountain lion have also visited.
