Homage majestic, fearsome White Tar-a,
Most beautiful face in the three times of sam-sar-a.
Adorning Your head, sits Ami-tab-ha,
You lead us to the Pure Land,

 

 with Your wonderful Dhar-ma.

Like the sun the heavens send down
And millions of stars in the sk-y qui-et
Destroys the dark-ness,

Ushnisha adorned with Amitabha bright,

Your stamping foot protects beings in Sam-sar-a.
From between your brows, mantras sound,

Your nature is the great bright ten-word sound

Homage Great De-mon Smash-ing Tar-a,
You easily subdue seven demons of Mar-a.
Holding three secret corresponden-cees,
Forces spying de-mons

 

 to tremble on their knees.

Hands offer mudras for all to se-e.
Splendid body, perfect jewels adorned,
Your shining mu-dra

 

 destroys suffering born.
Homage to Happy Subduer Tar-a,
Precious jewel crown and body aur-a,
Your laughter covers all of sam-sara,

 mighty light and pow-er.

 
Homage to Tar-a, Auspicious Fa-ce
Ends hate and night-mares without a tra-ce.
On Your sun-moon lo-tus in perfect ease,
All disasters transform

 

 into a cool breeze.

A blaze surrounds you, swirls with all its mi-ght.
Right leg stretched & left leg bent, joyous face content.
With a glimpse the demons

 

 in fear are sent.
Homage to Tar-a, Frown-ing Fa-ce.
Your lovely appearance perfumes all of spa-ce.
When they see you, it raises the enemy’s lev-el,
You assume a form fierce, majestic and civ-il.

Searching for beings in the six realms of samsar-a.
Your kindness protects those hungry who find,
Their three karmas with Yours

Throughout dharmadhatu, Forever samadhi pow-er.
Forces surrender of demon yakshas strong,
And with TU RE (ray)

 

 ex-ting-uish-es their wrong.

An end to man-y ep-i-dem-ics br-ing.
With the flick of a finger the Mudra is cast
That awakens all

 

 from the ills of the past.
Homage to Tar-a, Liberated from Fa-te,
No sins or blessings in Your Nirvana sta-te.
With SO HA OM, You show the end sub-lime
Of negative kar-ma

 

 from beginningless time.

 
Homage Tara Purifi-er of Heaven and Se-a.
Who holds an image of the hare moon go-d fre-e.
By merely chant-ing TU RE (ray) and PEI (pay)
Your light sends all poi-sons,

 

 far, far a-way.

 
Homage Eliminate Suffering Tar-a
Concerned for all be-ings suffering from de-si-re
Your loving heart lights all in samsara.
Be-ings are made hap-py

 

 by Your unleashed pow-er.
Homage to Tar-a Bright Heart with HU-M.
You e-asi-ly destroy all demons who co-me.
The so-und HUM pulsates from Your heart.
You stamp your foot

 

 and the demons de-part.

 
Homage to Tar-a, Shaker of Three Wor-lds.
From Your falling foot, a bright TU R-E (ra-y) hu-rls.
The se-ed HUM shines with bright blue awe,
Absorbs the Mount

 

 Muru man-da-la.
Homage to In-dra and Ma-ha-brah-man,
To the Four Great Kings, offerings devic and hu-man.
To the Dharma protectors we light in-cense and such
With celestial be-ings

 

 praise with music much.
Homage to DA ZHA and PE-I (pa-y) man-tras,
The demons’ evil ways destroyed by the fo-cus.
Eight types of de-it-ies protect Tara from harms
With ancient weapons

 

 and powerful arms.

 
With palms to-geth-er and great re-spect,
We honor Tar-a, The Buddha anci-ent.
We pray disciples with diligence rehearse,
To twenty-one Taras

 

 praises in verse.
Their hearts are filled with sincere regar-d
So Tara can be-stow lib-er-a-tion har-d.
The Wheel turns thrice present, future, and past,
Just thinking of Tar-a

 

 removes fear at last.
Negative kar-ma from the past can’t sta-y
From the evil realms we stay far a-wa-y.
Annuttar-a Samyak Sambodhi achieved.
Past Seven Buddhas

 

 prophecy received.
With a pure heart one gains accomplishment.
A-chi-eves Buddha-hood and enlighten-ment.
One who mistakenly takes a poison dose.
No matter what antidote it only gets worse.

 
But single pointedly remembering Tara can bri-ng
The poison transformed to a nectar spr-ing.
Sentient beings of a common sort,
Are perplexed by de-mons as they travel forth.

 
Chanting verses of praise, Doing this practice wel-l,
Makes our hearts peaceful, disasters dis-pel-l.
People want child-ren, wealth, treasures, and more.
With three karmas in line,

 

 Tara helps get what’s wished for.

 
Tara can grant all that beings want, sa-y
Obstructions and de-mons, no longer can sta-y.
Suffering and worry, we eliminate now.
With a ca-lm mind,

 

 liberation is how.

 
Tara is per-fect no worries or fea-r,
Wonderful voice pure, good, and clea-r.
Heavenly sound like ocean waves free,
This Ancient Buddha’s merit, is limitless as the sea.

His forty-eight vows will be our liberation.
In nine lotus-stages we reach the farthest shore.

我要堅持八基正見作為我修行和修法而成就解脫的基礎：無常心、堅信心、出離心、實愿心、精進心、戒律、禪定、菩提心。

The Dharma of Great Compassion for All Living Beings as My Mother Bodhicitta

I will follow the Dharma of Great Compassion for all living beings by:

Understanding who my mother is,

Bearing in mind kindness,

Repaying kindness,

Practicing Loving-kindness,

Demonstrating Compassion,

Renouncing greed, and

Eliminating attachment.

我要按照大悲我母菩提

心法來修：

 Wǒ yào àn zhào dà bēi wǒ mǔ pú tí

xīn fǎ lái xiū:
知母, Zhī mǔ,
念恩, Niàn ēn,
報恩, Bào’ēn
慈愛, Cí’ài,
慈悲, Cí bēi,
捨貪, Shě tān,
斷執。 Duàn zhí。

      The Dharma of Bodhisattva Correspondence Bodhicitta

I will observe the Dharma of Bodhisattva Correspondence Bodhichitta . by practicing:

Self and others are equal bodhichitta.

Exchange between self and others bodhichitta.

Benefit others before self bodhichitta.

Dedicating merit bodhichitta.

Fearlessly protecting the dharma bodhichitta.

Effectively leading others to correct practice bodhichitta.

Renouncing myself to help others build good karma bodhichitta.

我要遵照菩薩應照

菩提心法來修：

 Wǒ yào zūnzhào Púsà yīng zhào

pú tí xīn fǎ lái xiū:
自他平等菩提心。 Zì tā píng děng pú tí xīn。
自他交換菩提心。 Zì tā jiāo huàn pú tí xīn。
自他輕重菩提心。 Zì tā qīng zhòng pú tí xīn。
功德迴向菩提心。 Gōng dé huí xiàng pú tí xīn。
無畏護法菩提心。 Wú wèi hù fǎ pú tí xīn。
強導正修菩提心。 Qiáng dǎo zhèng xiū pù tí xīn

I will cut off ordinariness and enter holiness.

I will discard and not be attached to any of the twenty dharmas of ordinary feelings including:  Fame, Gain, Prosperity, Decline, Good fortune, Gladness, Increase, Decrease, Antipathy, Resentment, Anger, Hatred, Scheming, Defamation, Seizing, Harming, Illness, Suffering, Parting, and Death.

我要斷凡入聖。 Wǒ yào duàn fán rù shèng。
我要拋棄也不執於凡情二十法的任何一條，其中包括：名、利、興、衰、福、樂、增、損、憎、怨、

氣、恨、謀、謗、奪、害、病、

苦、別、亡。

 Wǒ yào pāo qì yě bù zhí yū fán qíng èr shí fǎ de rèn hé yī tiáo, qí hōng bāo kuò: míng, lì, xìng, shuāi, fú, lè, zēng, sǔn, zēng, yuàn, qì, hèn, móu, bàng, duó, hài, bìng, kǔ, bié, wang。

This day is already done. Now our lives are that much less.
We’re like fish in a shrinking pond. What joy is there in this?
We should be diligent and vig-or-ous.
As if our own heads were at stake.
So don’t be lax; stay mindful of im-perm-an-ence.
   是日已過。命亦隨減。 Shì rì yǐ guò。Mìng yì suí jiǎn。
   如少水魚 。斯有何樂? Rú shǎo shuǐ yú。Sī yǒu hé lè?
   當勤精進。如救頭燃。 Dāng qín jīng jìn。Rú jiù tóu rán。
   但念無常 , 慎勿放逸。 Dàn niàn wú cháng, shèn wù fàng yì

To the Buddha I return and rely, vowing that all living beings profoundly understand the great way and bring forth the Bodhi Mind.

To the Dharma I return and rely, vowing that all living beings deeply enter the sutra and have wisdom like the sea.

To the sangha I return and rely, {vowing that all living beings apply love and compassion to all.
自皈依佛,

當願眾生,

體解大道, 發無上心。

 Zì guī yī fó,

dāng yuàn zhòng sheng,

tǐ jiě dà dào, fā wú shàng xīn。
自皈依法,

當願眾生,

深入經藏, 智慧如海。

 Zì guī yī fǎ,

dāng yuàn zhòng sheng,

shēn rù jīng zāng , zhì huì rú hǎi。
自皈依僧,

當願眾生,

慈悲大眾, 一 切無礙。

 Zì guī yī sēng,

菩馱夜菩馱夜。 Pú tuó yè pú tuó yè。
彌帝唎夜那囉謹墀。 Mí dì lī yè nă là jĭn chí。
地唎瑟尼那。 Dì lī sè ní nà。
波夜摩那娑婆訶。 Bō yè mó nà suō pó he。
悉陀夜 娑婆訶。 Xī tuó yè suō pó he。
摩訶悉陀夜娑婆訶。 Mó hā xī tuó yè suō pó he。

Lord Qielan, with awesome powers brings harmony to the temple.
Respectfully he receives the Buddha’s commands,
And with sincerity protects and upholds the city of the Dharma king.
He acts as a barricade and sentry,
So that the pure way palace is forever peaceful.
Namo the Bodhisattva Mahasattva,
Who protects the Dharma treasury, mahaprajna paramita.
伽藍主者,合寺威靈 [Qielán] zhǔ xhě, hé sì wēi líng.
欽承佛敕共輸誠 Qīn chéng Fó chì gòng shū chéng
擁護法王城 yōnghù Fǎ wáng chéng.
為翰為屏, Wèi hàn wèi píng,
梵剎永安寧 Fàn chà yǒng ān níng.

Dedication of Merit
Let us dedicate the merit or our chanting and praises to living beings everywhere in the six realms of existence and silently to whomever we want to receive special merit:

讓我們把我們念誦的功德迴向給六道各處的眾生並默默迴向給我們希望收到特別功德的人：[Ràng wǒmen bǎ wǒmen niànsòng de gōngdé huí xiàng gěi liùdào gèchù(r) de zhòngshēng bìng mòmò huí xiàng gěi wǒmen xīwàng shōudào tèbié gōngdé de rén:]

May we eliminate the three bad karmas of greed, hatred, and ignorance and eliminate all afflictions and defilements.
May we obtain ultimate wisdom and become accomplished.
May all our sins and evil deeds be eliminated.
May all generations practice the Way of the Buddha.
願消三障諸煩惱 Yuàn xiāo sān zhàng zhū fán nǎo
願得智慧真明了 Yuàn de zhì huì zhēn míng liǎo
普願罪障悉消除 Pǔ yuàn zuì zhàng xī xiāo chú
