| This day is already done. Now our lives are that much less. | ||||
| We’re like fish in a shrinking pond. What joy is there in this? | ||||
| We should be diligent and vig-or-ous. | ||||
| As if our own heads were at stake. | ||||
| So don’t be lax; stay mindful of im-perm-an-ence. | ||||
| 是日已過。命亦隨減。 | Shì rì yǐ guò。Mìng yì suí jiǎn。 | |||
| 如少水魚 。斯有何樂? | Rú shǎo shuǐ yú。Sī yǒu hé lè? | |||
| 當勤精進。 如救頭燃。 | Dāng qín jīng jìn。 Rú jiù tóu rán。 | |||
| 但念無常 , 慎勿放逸。 | Dàn niàn wú cháng, shèn wù fàng yì | |||

功德迴向 |
Dedication of Merit |
Let us dedicate the merit or our chanting and praises to living beings everywhere in the six realms of existence and silently to whomever we want to receive special merit:
讓我們把我們念誦的功德迴向給六道各處的眾生並默默迴向給我們希望收到特別功德的人：
[Ràng wǒmen bǎ wǒmen niànsòng de gōngdé huí xiàng gěi liùdào gèchù(r) de zhòngshēng bìng mòmò huí xiàng gěi wǒmen xīwàng shōudào tèbié gōngdé de rén:]
May the merit accumulated from this practice,
Benefit all beings equally.
May all beings Increase their fortune and wisdom,
And may they always have peace and auspiciousness.
| 願以此功德, | Yuàn yǐ cǐ gōng dé, |
| 平等施一切。 | Píng děng shī yī qiè 。 |
| 增長諸福慧, | Zēng zhǎng zhū fú huì, |
| 安樂常吉祥。 | Ān lè cháng jí xiáng。 |
