Vajrasattva (Chinese: 金刚萨埵摩訶薩 Jīgāngsàdǒu Móhēsà or Tibetan: Dorje Sempa), a disciple of Dorje Chang Buddha, oversees esoteric practice in this world. Vajrasattva transmitted the dzogchen or Great Perfection Dharma to Vajrapani and Guru Padmasambhava. In some traditions He is said to have taught tantra to Nagarjuna. His most well known practice of the Hundred Syllable Mantra is used as a preliminary practice for purification in most Tibetan sects.
