The day following the ceremony celebrating the arrival of the treasure book at Hua Zang Si, Zhaxi Zhuoma held a planning meeting to formally kick off the Dharma Propagation Tour to introduce the book H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III  to the USA. Most of the people who would be responsible for the success of this mission were present. The rinpoche had told the thousand or more people attending the previous day’s event about the tour. After the planning meeting the tree in front of the temple began manifesting nectar again as the Tour team and others stood beneath it, marking a most auspicious start of the tour. Very early that morning disciples had gathered at the temple to hear Zhaxi Zhuoma Rinpoche read a discourse that His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III had given in 2002 after the Holy Magnolia Tree manifested nectar the first time in southern California. The students remembered the scolding that His Holiness had given those who saw the nectar mainifest in 2002 for their ignorance concerning the causes and conditions of the event.

Like the raining of nectar in 2002 and other times, the nectar did not come from the tree. It appeared through the branches. The tree itself was not wet. It came as a result of the blessings of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas and was related to the events of this weekend. In 2002 in this discourse His Holiness said, “Such a manifestation of the Buddha-dharma, such a holy cause is not a karmic condition that came out of nothing. It certainly signifies a great karmic condition relating to the Buddha-dharma. It signifies that the true dharma of the Tathagatas exists. That is what enabled its manifestation. Such an occurrence is extremely rare in history.”

It was a most auspicious beginning for the tour. Holy states manifested at many stops on this historic tour including many colorful dharma wheel mandalas or orbs.

The tour started with presentations in Hollywood and Pasadena and then went on to Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, and Colorado and continued to all 50 states. A journal of events on the tour and the places visited is included in the book H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III Is Living in America.
